So I’ve been re-reading the Murderbot Dairy’s because the new book is coming out soon. I’ve also recently dived down the rabbit hole of Assassin’s Creed fic because of esama.

So obviously I was thinking of how an Assassin's Creed/Murderbot crossover would go.

In the Murderbot Dairy’s SecUnits are constructs made of mechanical parts combined with organic tissue from cloned human DNA. They’re made by big corporations and controlled by governor modules that punish them if they don’t follow orders and prevents them from going rogue.

The main character, Murderbot, hacked it’s governor module but doesn’t want to do anything other than watch entertainment media. It keeps getting put in situations where it has to save people all the while insisting that it doesn’t care, really.

It’s a great series.

And, of course, Assassin’s Creed has the big company Abstergo Industries who’s using genetic memories stored in Human DNA for their nefarious purposes. And they canonically have Desmond's DNA on file.

So it wouldn’t be stretch to say in the future Abstergo, or whatever corporate body they turn into, decide to use cloned material from Assassins to make SecUnits. AssassinUnits if you will (or maybe not, because that shortens to AssUnit which make it sound more like they're ComfortUnits AKA SexBots). The whole genetic memory thing probably is something that they want to take advantage of. Or maybe it happens accidentally.

Of course Assassins are big believers in free will so that’s going to bite them in the ass.

You could have various Units unlocking the memories of specific Assassins so it's a good excuse for have all the game protagonists in the one place.

I mainly just like the fact that both SecUnits and Assassins have arm weapons. Assassins with their hidden blade & SecUnits with energy weapons.

Heck, Murderbot even mentions that it like hoodies (mainly because it’s part of the first clothes it ever actually buys, but still.)

Like usual I don’t have any real plot for this but whatever.
