I'd been doing so good posting something once a week & then I completely let myself down last week.
I could have just posted a Happy St. Patrick's Day message or something.

Oh, well.
At least I have something for this week.

I was recently reminded that Marvel’s 1602 exists. Back when I first read it I had an idea for a fic. Since that was literally years ago it’s obvious I’m never going to write it so here it is.

I know the performer aspect would probably suit Nightcrawler more, but I wanted to do this w/ the original comic X-Men.

I wasn't expecting much when I saw X-men Origins: Wolverine. The X-men movies had turned out good which no one had been expecting but they had already been sliding towards just being The Wolverine show since the start. Considering all the other comic book movies I had watched before this one I enjoyed the movie fine.
That doesn't change the fact that they ruined Deadpool in it. I wasn't ever a real fan of Deadpool and even I was annoyed by it.
And it would have been so easy to make it, if not better, then at least not suck. So I wrote this to fix it.
The fact that there was apparently an alternative after-the-credit scene means the writers probably thought so too.

A fic idea I had for a different take on the x-men.

I’ve read AU’s were they’re not mutants or where they are no such thing but I don’t think I’ve read one were they all have their powers but at there lowest level.

( Going just with the original x-men I was thinking something like this )

I just thought it would be interesting to see them work as a team (or not) when they don’t have the power to take down armies. They’re still mutants so they could still be gathered to learn about their powers but the fact that they not so powerful means the fate of the world wouldn’t be on their shoulders. Or maybe it would and they’re just be woefully under equipped.

I have no idea what kind of story to tell though.

Alternatively I’d like to see a fic where mutants exist but none of them have strong flashy powers. Like they’re all at the level of TV psychics or something. So week you could get away with not believing they exist.

I think it would be an interesting idea to explore but I wouldn’t know where to being.

I saw this box set for the x-men quadrilogy, that’s x-men 1, 2, 3 and origins: wolverine (not first class) and it just proves what I’ve been thinking all along (and what was made abundantly clear in X3).

Not only is it better than X-men Origins: Wolverine, it also strikes it from continuity (along with X3).
