Thankfully I found a way to get the comments back under the video where they belong.
Well actually I found a video that didn't give the link but was able to type it out by hand and get this.

I did the uBlocker one which seemed to work.

It'll all probably get ruined the next update but at least it's working for now.

Had the idea to do it during codextober but didn't have time

So the last few days I thought I heard scratching in the walls. Of course as soon as I tried to listen it would stop so I wasn't sure if I just imagined it or not.
But yesterday morning I woke up to definite prolonged scratching & I was able to pinpoint it as coming from the ceiling.
Which meant I couldn't just hope it was something from outside, it was definitely in the attic.
Not owning a ladder I wasn't about to attempt to check it myself so I sent a email to the Land-Lord.

I wasn't expecting a reply until Monday since it was the weekend & had kind of resigned myself to having to worry about rats again.

But, around noonish, I got a call from the pest control agency & they said they could have someone out around 3:30.

The same guy who did it last year came round, did some stuff in the attic & said he'd do a check outside to see if he could find out how they were getting in & that was it.

Assassin's Creed was on sale for 3 quid so I decided to get it.
(I also got 2 & 3 since they were on sale as well)

It's going to take me a while to play through because I tend to get motion sick from 3D games. At least it 3rd person & not 1st person because I find those impossible to play.

I remember the days before AO3.
I have a steady job now so I don't mind giving some money to them every time they have there drives. I'm fairly sure I still paying less them I would at the library & I used to go through about 10 books a week when I was younger.

But posts going around every time they ask for money about people trying to explain why the money is needed in the first place & someone made a cool song based on "Toss a coin to your Witcher" from the nextfilx tv series.

It's very well done.

So "actor from a fandom that I never watched the show but still read a whole bunch of fic of (and who's character is a popular pairing with the lead) has a band I'd never has listened to on my own but I found through fandom & now I'm enjoying the music of" is a very specific category but now I find I have two people in it.

Gareth David-Lloyd who plays Ianto in Torchwood who has the band Blue Gillespie.
and now Joey Batey who plays Jaskier in the Netflix series The Witcher who has the band The Amazing Devil.

They're also both British, (from Wales & England respectively) and both have dark hair & pale eyes.

Sorry, it just stuck me as a very specific category & now I'm wondering if I'll ever add to it.

Is it bad that I completely forgot yesterday was April fool's day?
It's not like I was planning anything but still.

There was also a con going to be on this weekend I was going to go to.
Obviously that's cancelled now.

Stupid scene that just popped into my head almost as is. It was short so I decided to write it down. I don’t have a story to stick it in so I guess it lives here now.

A new monster (or maybe one that just woken up for centuries of slumber) is being shown around a bar full of cryptids when they spot a human. They ask the monster showing them around about it.

“Oh don’t worry about that one, he’s a bard”

“A what?”

“Well I guess they’re just called musicians or artists or influencers these days but their basically still bards. Your better off not bothering them.”

“But all humans are prey.”

“Of course. But there are some humans it’s best to stay away from.”

“Ah, hunters.”

“Pfft, forget hunters. They either get killed off eventually or end up as monsters in denial. Who cares. No, let me give the same advice my progenitor gave to me. When it comes to humans there are 3 things to remember. Don’t tangle with Witches. They’re tricksy, it’s not worth it. Don’t f*ck with Bards (I’d say don’t f*ck them either but no one seems to listen to that) & stay away from Blacksmiths.”

“What are backsmiths?”

“You don’t need to worry too much about them, there aren’t many left nowadays. Just remember, a hot iron poker tends to cut through bullsh*t no matter how magical you think you are.”

The way I figure it, in old-school tales Witches are crafty, Bards are lucky and Blacksmiths always have something either heavy sharp or hot around & they don't take any nonsense.
If I could figure out a story for this it'd be something about how this'd translate into modern times.
But I've got nothing.

(Maybe I should have used the line ‘YouTubers or Vloggers or influencers’ instead of ‘musicians or artists or influencers’. Oh well.)

As part of my x-mas presents to people I made chocolates.
The fillings were milk, white, lemon (juice mixed w/ milk chocolate), raspberry (crushed & mixed w/ icing sugar), pop rocks, marshmallows, wine gums, jelly babies (cut up) & a failed attempt at ganache that was too watery so I added choco powder.
I ran out of chocolate so I didn't get a chance to test them but people said they turned out ok so I guess I have to believe them.

But I forgot to take any pics of it.

I had a notion to make chocolate today but this time I cheated w/ the fillings & used the middle of some Fry's Cream bars that I scraped out.  Orange & raspberry since I got a bunch of bars cheap from the pound shop.


They turned out all right, but I'm not going to be able to eat them so I think I'll foist them off at work.

They were doing some sort of health & wellness thing in work today.
I wasn't really paying attention for what it was for but the had things like free fruit, a basketball toss & a draw you could win prizes in.

The also had an oculus rift playing Beat Saber.

I've never played a VR game but I have seen clips of it on YouTube & it looked like a lot of fun.

I got have a go on my first break & my lunch break & got the high score both times.
I don't know if I kept it as they were gone by the time I'd finished work but I got over 111,000 points on my last go.

I does kind of make me want to get one even though it's an enormous waste of money.
