So I've finally finished the Assassin's Creed Chronicles series.

I was distracted for a while from my slow crawl though the AssCreed series by Injustice.
I did manage to get all the characters to level 30 in Injustice 2 thanks to a some tips online that basically turned it into the world worst idle game but I'm just not into fighting games enough to put up with all the loot box stuff. It really leaches the enjoyment from things.
Ther'se one achievement you can't get unless you get a certain ability. And, of course, abilities are gotten randomly from loot boxes or events. There is technically a way to get it without waiting on chance but it requires so much work from something that I wanted to be a casual game it's not worth it.
Oh, well. It's something to play with friends I guess.

AssCreed Russia was ok.

There was a marked increase in timed parts which seemed to require exact timing in parts, which was really annoying.
The only time I had to look up something was tiring to figure out timing on one part & it turned out I had to jump instead of run or else I'd never make it, no matter what I'd do. Incredibly irritating.

I also am not a fan of levels that apper to be impossible to get first try. Repeated tried should be optional or if you mess up; not mandatory.

Whatever. It wasn't too bad.

I continued my strategy of just letting myself die when I got spotted since I suck at the fighting part. They also introduced an enemy with gas masks which made the smoke bombs useless so I ended up never using them which struck me as pointless.

Next AssCreed game will be back to one of the main titles.
We'll see how that goes.

Ref for this is a screenshot from a mobile game I haven't played.

Since I'm posting these 2 at a time here's one extra just to keep things even

I pretty sure I traced over fanart for this not official art, but it fit too well for me to pass up.

I though basically just doing a map would be easy but this took me a while.

There's a 'Ring of Chaos' power in AC Odyssey

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India was the last AC game I played so I stuck a few screen shots together and traced of them to make this

This really shows where my drawing ability is when I don't have something to trace over

Assassin's Creed Mirage isn't even out yet.

AC3 DLC was basically one long vision quest anyway.

Literally just google image searched "Assassin's Creed snake" for a ref pic for this

"Abstergo Entertainment presents..."

I'm pretty sure most people did a version of the Apple of Eden for this prompt.

So even though I'[m already doing an art challenge this month I have some holiday hours I need to use up so I have some free time.
So I'm starting late but here's day 1 & 2 of codextober this year.

I've got to say, it is so much easier playing these games with a controller.

So I'm guessing all the Chronicle games are supposed to be played in order because they really didn't spend much time going over the moves you unlocked later in the China game. Things like dash kill and stuff, they just get a passing mention after you complete the 1st level.
They also don't mention that holding the jump button makes you jump longer which made the 2nd level extremely frustrating as you can't complete the level unless you know that. You also can't complete the level if you don't know holding the takedown button will let you knock out instead of just kill.
I can't believe I had to look it up.

Other then that it's quite playable, harder then the last game I think but I still completed the story missions just fine.

I collected all the extras though I didn't get all the points. I've also only done 2 of the challenge levels.

Still, it was fun.

Finished Liberation. Turns out I had a lot less left to do then I thought.
Probably because the difference between 70% and 100% is a lot smaller since it's DLC and not a full game.

The freeing slave mechanic was pretty neat. Unlocking new items and perks as well as the dancers and mercenary equivalents was a cool way of doing things.

There was a wierd bug were the background music over took the sound effects in fight scenes which consistently threw me off. You don't realize how much you rely on hearing if you hits land until you can't use it anymore.

The hunting aspect was entirely superfluous in this since there's no crafting. The only thing you can do with what you hunt is sell them (especially as there no quests or achievements to do) and the only thing you need money for is upgrading your ship & there are other ways to get money.

Not that I needed money since, especially if you get all the chests, you get tons of money just playing the game.

So I finished Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.

long ramble behind the cut )

The 15th year anniversary is coming up and they've got a new game coming out and those other games in the pipeline. Considering I'm working my way through all the Assassin's Creed games I'm not actually all that interested to be honest. But hey, probably by the time I make it up to those games I'll be more invested. We'll see.
