My first attempt at using Krita: fanart for Jason Todd: Regular College Student

I was re-reading Stargate Brotherhood by esama (a great crossover fic, I highly reminded it if you have the time) and I ended up writing this.
It’ll make absolutely no sense if you haven’t read Stargate Brotherhood & it takes place in some nebulous future after the fic ends.
Naruto/Assassin's Creed fic musings
Apr. 17th, 2021 01:01 pmSo I’ve been reading though esame’s fics on Ao3 (re-reading in a lot of cases) which I highly recommend. But you know where you read a fic from one fandom & then you read a fic from another fandom & suddenly you want a crossover. They’ve done a lot of crossovers, which I’ve been enjoying, but they haven’t done this one. Maybe because, like me, they can’t think of anything resembling a plot.
I’m talking about an Assassin's Creed/Naruto crossover.
I mean Assassins = Shinobi is pretty obvious and the eagle vision an being a dōjutsu and the whole genetic memory could be a kekkei genkai or something. But I don’t know where you’d go from there.
I mean you could have a fusion but if it was more set in the Assassin's Creed world you’d probably have to get rid of the flashy Jutsus to keep the tone. Setting it more in the Naruto world could be fun, having all the assassins running around but, again, what on earth would the plot be?
Of course, you could always have just a straight up crossover with the whole “of course Desmond’s not dead he just got transported to another universe with the eye” thing, which is an easy way to set up a crossover.
If that was the case I’d think that, unless you use some precursor BS to handwave it, then he wouldn’t have chakra. Or at least very little. After all ninjas get trained from pretty young to use theirs. So even if he does manage to get training he probably wouldn’t be able to do any of the really flashy stuff. And he might have trouble getting the hang of hand seals.
But I think he could still be pretty badass (I mean Rock Lee can do it).
I’m pretty sure eagle vision can’t be fooled by clones or kawarimi techniques and that. And I think being registered as only a civilian would make it easier to act like an actual assassin so more sneaky then to anime protagonist type stuff then happens in the show.
I just have the idea of someone thinking of him as ‘having the chakra reserves of a genin but moves like an ANBU’ or something.
Meh, it’s just vague idea I was musing on. Like I said, it’s kind of going nowhere.
And then, because I still had the template I made for ANBU masks so I messed around made this.

It's good Winter Soilder fic
I’ve done something vaguely artistic
Dec. 30th, 2011 11:43 pmI feel bad that I never have anything to put in my DeviantArt account. The trouble is I really can’t draw.
But I was inspired by this cool fic to try my hand at photoshop. It’s not very good though.
Oh well, at least it something.
Uh.
I probably shouldn’t have gone to the cinema today.
Oh well.
Just saw Thor.
I liked it.
There was really no chemistry between Thor and Natalie Portman’s character save for girl-ogles-the-hot-guy. And they come together with all the inevitability that can be afforded in a Hollywood movie but it’s not coming out of left field so I suppose it’s all right.
Other then that, though, it was good. The character and set design look like they stepped straight off the pages of Jack Kirby’s work. And to do that and not end up looking hooky is impressive. I mean take the destroyer for example:
It’s done very well.
I also like Loki. We all know going in that he’s going to evil (anyone who doesn’t needs to read some basic Norse mythology) but I was worried they were going to just make him stupid evil, evil-‘cause-the-plot-says-I-am-evil. Thankfully they gave him reasons. Yeah it may just be daddy-never-loved-me-like-he-loved-Thor-and-I’m-jealous but that is his character.
Here’s hoping the Avengers manages to deliver on all it’s promised with these movies.
Three things
Feb. 27th, 2011 09:35 pmIt may have been mean spirited and annoying but I do kind of admire the group of kids that stopped the bus I was on today by having two groups on either side of the road and miming tugging a rope. It’s definitely one of the more imaginative ways of causing trouble I’ve ever seen.
I’ve finally got a regular gaming group again. We’re going to be playing legend of the five rings.
I’ve only played one game of it before but it was fun.
I’ll be playing a member of the Mantis clan, as a bounty hunter. First game is in a fortnight though, as one of the players will be out of the country next week.
Lastly, I have a fic rec. I just love this little one shot. There need to be more of this kind of thing in the Inception fandom.
I like Sci-fi short stories
Feb. 17th, 2011 11:41 pmThis one’s good. I think I found it from a link from TvTropes. It satisfies a lot of my inner fan selves. Such as my sci-fi fan, my alternate universes fan, my mythology fan, my sneaky trickster fan, my badass last stand fan, even the title for my comic fan.
I’ve been reading the other stuff he has available for free and it just reminds my how much I like sci-fi. I don’t read near enough of it like I used to. I’ve got to find some of the books he’s written.
Inception/Sixth Sense crossover
Feb. 12th, 2011 11:29 pmAs well as having a soft spot for fic from unusual POVs I also like crossovers. Especially if they manage to combine different things that you wouldn't think would actually fit in the same universe.
This one’s pretty good. And it looks like it will be regularly updated too. (It’s really annoying when you getting into a fic only to find out it’s been abandoned.Inception fic rec

Rant and stuff
Dec. 7th, 2010 05:02 pmSo the A-Team movie has been out on DVD for a while but I haven’t bought it yet.
Well. To finish on a lighter note, here’s some other A-Team stuff.
