So I rang the letting agency yesterday to try and get permission to go ahead w/ the installation of the broadband. Apparently the LLs were off on holidays the last 2 weeks so even if I had got through to someone last Fri nothing would have happened anyway.
I was told I'd get an answer as soon as possible but heard nothing back.
I rang this morning & found out that the normal foreman of the property had died.
Yikes.
But I did get an email back this afternoon to say I had permission so I rang Sky to re-book my appointment.
After waiting on hold for 20 mins I was told that the job was w/ the installer company & they will be calling my in the next 24 to 48 hrs.
So I still don't have a date for my installation but it's getting there.
On a tangentially related note, I had ordered stuff from Argos online (since the new place has nothing in it) but they delivered a double order so I had to go to the shop and return all the duplicates.
Thankfully it was a known issue so I was able to get the delivery charge refunded as well but since I did it online it will take a few days to go though.
*sigh*
