Rant and stuff
Dec. 7th, 2010 05:02 pmSo the A-Team movie has been out on DVD for a while but I haven’t bought it yet.
This is for two reasons. The first is because I never buy a DVD for full price if I can help it. I’ve usually seen it in the cinema so I don’t mind waiting a bit for it to be on special offer somewhere. The second reason is that there doing this thing now where a lot of the special features or on the blue-ray and not the DVD.
I don’t have a blue-ray player, I don’t want a blue-ray player and I will never get a blue-ray player. If I wanted to get a machine that plays blue-ray disks I’d get a PS3.
Blue-ray’s are pointless. I can understand the change from VHS tape to DVD. Better quality, extra features, things like subtitle and director’s commentaries, the ability quickly skip though scenes. A lot of stuff. What does changing to blue-ray get you. Better quality video if you upgrade your T.V. as well. If you have that much money to burn you might as well by something useful. Like a car.
The quality DVD gets you is fine, the difference is pretty much negligible (that maybe just me, though, as I need glasses).
They better release a special addition A-Team movie with all the extras in a few months. There’s trying to make some more money and then there’s just pissing people off.
Well. To finish on a lighter note, here’s some other A-Team stuff.
