Oh look it’s the 32nd of March
Apr. 1st, 2011 11:41 pmTo be honest I’ve never liked April’s Fools Day. It’s not so bad on the internet, sites do some clever and witty things and people with web comics or shows put a little bit extra for some fun. No, it’s real life that annoys me. The fact that any stupid or malicious prank is excused for the day and if the moron shouts “April’s fools” we’re just supposed to forgive their idiocy. And if you think the joke wasn’t funny or was just mean-spirited obviously you just being a downer.
It’s strange that I feel that way because I’ve never been the butt of any major prank that I can remember but I have seen people use today as an excuse to behave badly. I just dislike today in principle I guess.
That said, if the joke is actually funny and has some thought behind it I don’t mind, but that’s true on any day and I don’t see why an arbitrary number on a calendar should change that.
