My rant about AC3 ended up getting really long but I don't think I ended up mentioning the fighting in it.
Since it feels like you can't take 3 steps without triggering a fight in the DLC I think now a good time to bring it up.

I don't really like it.

Part of it may be that I'm not very good at it but part of it is defiantly that it always felt kind of awkward. Sometimes things would trigger when you wanted them sometime they didn't.
And the fact that things like trees, buildings etc can get between the character model and the camera is baffling. Surely that's a thing that was figured out by 2012. I'm pretty sure the ability to make things between the player and the camera see-through was done by then, right.

Whatever, at least you got a stealth function this game so you didn't have be constantly fight everything to get anywhere.
Though I would have like more options for quick selecting weapons. Trying to juggle weapons & powers got annoying because you only have 4 quick slots & by the time you have 3 powers it's helpfully to be able to swap between them but that doesn't leave you much room for weapons and stuff.
The new powers were kind of cool, though. They totally wouldn't fit the narrative of the main game series. I can totally see the game devs just using the DLC as a excuse to try out some things.

That said, they kind of missed the ball a bit on the narrative of the powers.
I mean, we're constantly being told that there are consequences to the powers by the only thing it amounts to in the game is loss of heath. And your health comes back really quickly when not in combat, so all it really does is change the health bar in to a stamina bar.

(That said; I do like the fact that we didn't have to mess about with health items in AC3.)

I just think there could have been some sort of story point about it is all.
Like maybe just a quick bit where you let Kanen'tó:kon try some of the tea, and you see him get over confident or lose his temper or something & that's why he gets killed. It wouldn't take too much for there to be a bit in the 3rd chapter after you get the last power up for him to have joined you on the quest & then get murdered directly after or something.

Just saying "these powers are bad actually", "they change you", "you risking losing yourself" and all that doesn't mean anything when nothing ever happens because of it.
I know you don't want to change the game-play but please show us the plot instead of just telling us all the time.

It's like they had the point about the piece of Eden to make and then forgot about anything else.

Whatever, the game was fine.

I will say one last thing though.
I think they tried to fix the problem with the thief missions not coming up but put the patch in the DLC instead of the main game.
Everytime I looted or pickpocketed someone the prompt for the fist mission of getting $15000 popped up even though there's no cash in the DLC.
