xt1meToday the installer came out to put in the fiber for the broadband.
Except he didn't because it turns out that, because of the fact that the top off a tree has to be cut off & a cable has to be run down the back of another property, I need to get landlord permission.
Of course the LL's offices are closed Fri & it's a bank holiday weekend it looks like it'll be Tues at the earliest before I can even book a new appointment.
I was supposed to move out today.
I was going to try and use my mobile phone as a hot-spot for now & maybe use my Mum's place as an office for work but I was able to talk with my current LL & they very kindly let me stay where I am for another week.
At least that's something.
It's a good thing I haven't stopped payment on the electricity yet & that my current internet expires on the 16th of Aug.
