Zombie Walk

xt1meThe Zombie walk was yesterday.
This year I decided to be the Grim Reaper.
Mainly because I had one of those black out hoods I got last year.
I also have some skeleton gloves I've had for a while.
I bought a cloak from Tesco & bought a 2 Euro sweeping brush to make a scythe.
I had a bunch of cardboard left over from my computer.
Some hot glue & spray paint & it turned out pretty well.
As a little extra I made a spine to add to the back of the cloak.
I did this mainly because it was to only part that turned out pretty well on the giant skeleton puppet I attempted a couple of years ago.
(also so I wouldn't just be a void of black)
I had a bunch of empty toilet rolls I hadn't got around to putting into the recycling yet.
I cut each roll in half length-ways & then across, so I had 4 spine parts per roll.
Instead of painting them all I just used paper I folded up to there was 2 sticky out bits like on a real spine.
Then I cut the paper to shape.
I hot glued the paper to the cardboard & then hot glued the cardboard to 2 lengths of wool & then safety-pined it to the cloak.
I also got some knee length skeleton socks since I knew it was going to be cold.
In fact the temperature missed actual freezing by the narrowest or margins.
I wore 2 black t-shirts, a black polo-neck & a black suit jacket under the cloak.
I'm very glad that it didn't rain.
