I was watching TGWTG top 11 Coolest Clichés and it reminded me of my list of hero shots. Every action movie has at lest one and I always intended to write them down one day but I never got around to it.

1: Standing over the enemy
usually battered and bloody and accompanied by a one liner
1 B: Standing over the enemy with their back truned.

2: Standing in front of an explosion

2 B: walking from an explosion

2.5: Standing in front of a fire

2.5 B: Walking from a fire
(I’m putting the fire in with the explosion because the fire is usually started by an explosion anyway)

3: Standing on a rooftop (looking at a city)

3 B: Standing on a rooftop (silhouetted by the moon, sky, etc)

4: Standing in a dramatic pose holding a weapon

5: Standing still with something blowing by/swirling around
usually in slow-mo

6: Posing in front of a flag
usually american

7: Standing silhouetted

7 B: Standing in shadow/half shadow
