Last night the power cut off at around 4am. I know this because I got woken up when all the neighbours’ house alarms got set off. It came on again at 8am with only one small cut again at 8:15.

I only found out why when I heard something on the radio on the bus into town. The bus itself seemed to go all over the place to get into town but it really wasn’t until much later I found out the full reason why.

There had been a flash flood last night and Douglas, Blackpool and other places around cork had flooded in the early hours of the morning. Considering the warm day yesterday and today it was a bit surreal. There was some light drizzle but the amount of damage cased by last nights rain seems so out of proportion.
