There was confusion again today with the tickets but someone came around eventually and it was sorted. Though there was tickets bought that were never claimed which was a bit confusing. It did mean that there was enough spaces that the volunteers could watch the show though.
It was interesting.
They used three different areas for the performance, the stage, a room off the stage and the full stage and auditorium. There were only two performers and the did some interesting things. Like bringing us on the stage in the dark when one of the dancers was already there and letting us discover him as our eyes adjusted. The did some neat things with a simple light set up, two lights on dimmers switches on the ground and a set of lights above, also a mirror ball in anther room. Another really interesting bit was at the end when one of the dancers did some rope dancing while the other danced around him.
That said I don’t think it was really my cup of tea. I don’t know much about dance and I felt like they was some kind of symbolic something going on that I wasn’t getting. I probably wasn’t the target audience.
Still it was interesting to see once.(part one of a butterfly)
