It could’ve been worse
Mar. 15th, 2012 11:17 pmToday wasn’t quite as bad as I had been expecting. Even though shooting started today at 7am I couldn’t get in until 8 because my first bus was 7:30. Since I really had only one prop to look after though it wasn’t a problem. We’re doing all the outdoor scenes this week to take advantage to the (somewhat) dry weather so the art department is barely needed. I hung around for a few hours to see if I could help but there was already a runner who was board out of his mind so I could go home and thaw out for a while before I had to go back into town for the Loft meeting.
Then I found out that the director (Romeo and Juliet) was involved in a féis and couldn’t make it but forgot to give anyone the keys so the handful of actors and I were locked out in the cold. I called one of the senior members to come up a bit early for the committee meeting to let us in and we read though some scenes in a nearby hotel lobby while we waited.
The director eventually did turn up though and we ran though a few scenes. Which is good because we’ll lose some of the main actors for then two weeks because of a show their doing in collage.
I’m still exhausted right now though.
