Wandering around the Fanfic.net
Aug. 10th, 2010 09:26 pmIs it snobbish of me to be apprehensive of the quality of your fic when your bio is longer then the amount of stories you have?
I know it’s very judging-the-book-by-the-cover of me but when I see someone’s profile on the pit with what looks like pages of waffle and quotes and questionnaires and things I can’t but help but think they’re over compensation for mediocre writing. It sounds mean, and I know that it’s not necessarily true, but I really don’t think your profile should take up more space then you fics when the fics are the sole reason any of us are there. (I don’t count people who only have a handful of fics of course.)
I feel kind of bad for thinking this because it’s not like I’m a good enough writer to say any thing but it’s just the way I feel.
