Wow, the Last Airbender sucks

I mean it really sucks.

I’d heard it sucks.

But it really sucks.

Half of it looks like they’re missing the bending. Did they run out of time, money, or both? Wow! This is bad. There are literally times when they are doing the magic dance and there are even space left on camera but there is nothing there. This is the Last Airbender with half the bending missing. This is the Last Air.

 
I dunno what else to say. Everyone else has already talked about how bad the acting is. And the directing. And the writing... And the Directing!

I mean M. Night Shyamalan can do a good movie. I mean he’s done good movies, not recently, but he’s done them!

He should never have touched this.

This should have been left wallowing in pre-production half done for ages and been re-written a million times, and that would have made it better. That’s rare!

 

I really can’t say anything more about this. I can’t say anything about the plot. It’s the first season condensed. Badly. It’s drenched in exposition and don’t even get me started on the mispronunciations!

 

Ohhhh…. Just, there’s nothing I can say. It really is this bad. I feel so disappointed. Not even mad, no, just disappointed.

The only thing I could say was that all my film teachers would kill me if I did this. In fact I think they made every single error you could make. Well not technically. All the support staff were obviously very good, it was very pretty, they had good crew and they could get things done. Every part of this production knew how to do their jobs (except maybe some of the actors) but it all came together in one, big, bleeegh.

 

So yeah, nope. Don’t see his film. Just don’t. Or don’t pay for it. Watch the cartoon. It actually has plot, action and acting. Funny bits, good characters. You know, everything that wasn’t in this movie.

 

In conclusion: Atla the cartoon: good. Atla the movie: bad. Go watch the cartoon. The movie never existed; it is stricken from the records. Only time it’s admissible to do immediate reboot. It’s okay. They’ve a note from the fans
