I am somewhat frustrated
Sep. 23rd, 2011 11:02 pmI had two things to do today and I was a little worried abut getting them both done but I figured I’d scheduled them ok, with enough of gap in-between in case something un expected came up, so I figured it would be fine.
It turns out that instead of the frustration of too much to do I ended up with the opposite.
My first job, giving my Granny a lift, was cancelled when my Granny decided she wasn’t going to go and didn’t tell me. Which wasn’t too bad as it meant I had less to do but the fact that I had cut short my second job, volunteering for the culture night, for her and thus couldn't volunteer for anything interesting was a bit annoying.
But then I went to my assigned area and found out I was to be the only volunteer there at a trad session in a small pub. How do you steward a pub session?
Where are the musicians? Over there.
Tickets? Free entry.
Entrances? The door you came in.
Why was I even there?
And to top it off I hate Irish music.
I get enough of that at home.
