At the start of the game we had basically this scenario;
DM: “you save an orphanage”
Us: “Hurray”
DM: “An evil orphanage.”
Us: “Wait, What?”
And it when on from there.
(It was a nature versus nurture experiment where they took children from historically evil races to try and raise them to be good. While an admiral task in normal circumstances, this is the forgotten realms. I can’t see things ending well. Needless to say we left them as soon as possible.)
It’s scenarios like these that cause so much trouble yet are so fun to play.
