The manager at the Shandon Bells was kind enough to let us up there at a quarter to 6 this morning. (It helped that she lived just a few houses away so she didn’t mind getting up.) Unfortunately the weather wasn’t as co-operative.
It did stop raining at six, though it still drizzled for a while, but it stayed quite cloudy.
We also had some technical errors such as the fact that the camera we were using, while a very good camera, wasn’t designed for film work. It had a power saver feature that made it stop filming after about ten or fifteen minutes. It’s a good thing we were hanging around to keep an eye on it otherwise we wouldn’t have got anything.
We also ran out of space on the card half way though and had to fanatically delete some previous footage and hope we didn’t leave to big a gap so it would be noticeable when it is speed up.
We got something shot though. We just have to see how it turns out.
