I volunteered to help with the Where’s Wally world record attempt for the number of Wallys in one place. It was supposed to happen today during the Street Performance World Championship. Unfortunately the Street Performance World Championship was cancelled due to rain. The Wally world record attempt still went ahead at six but it did case some confusion. Of course, being the Street Performance World Championship I think a few of them were used to performing in the rain so there were still shows going on, it just wasn’t formalised. Thankfully it wasn’t torrential rain and it stopped halfway though the day so by the time the record attempt was taking place I had dried out. It did start rain again as we were packing up but not during the attempt so the picture will probably turn out well. (2,563 people!)

The volunteers were all dressed as Odlaw and we were mainly handing out large stickers with numbers on them to little kids to help parents find them if they got lost. Because trying to find one kid in a red and white striped top in a sea of red and white striped top is very hard, as expected from Where’s Wally.

 

I had to get the bus into town, walk to the park, stand around all day, help clean up, walk back to town, get the bus and walk up that horrible to finally get home.

I am exhausted.
