In the middle of the day I got a call from my uncle telling me there was a film crew down at Cobh cathedral and that they were short a cameraman. Obviously I jumped at the chance to do something. So my other uncle, who was the one being filmed that day, picked me up on his way down there at about seven.

It wasn’t a big production; they were just filming some documentary thing for holy week. However, apparently they were plagued with problems all shoot. From getting locked out of the place they were sleeping to being interrupted because of a funeral. When I got there one of the pieces of their brand new equipment wasn’t working and there was a photography club in the church. Because of the equipment not working I couldn’t go on a camera and because of the photography club it took ages for us to even start. There were other delays as well and as a result it was midnight before I got home.

I did get to do something, but it was just pointing to which camera my uncle had to look into throughout his speech.
