Circus of Horrors
Nov. 4th, 2010 06:55 pmI went to see the Circus of Horrors yesterday, It basically an over 18’s Cirque du Soleil.
It was even advertised as cirque du soleil if it was directed by Quentin Tarantino. This is pretty accurate except it has a little less blood then if Tarantino actually directed it.
It was a lot of fun, with a contortionist, roller skaters, a woman who was hoisted up to the ceiling by her hair and then later by her neck, sword swallowing, acrobats, a couple with whips, knife throwing some fire breathing and a bunch of magic tricks thrown in here and there. The fact that the magic tricks were easy to see though really provided a contrast to when things where quite obviously not tricks. Like when one guy picked up a plank of wood with a chain hanging from a hole in his nose to another who picked up a bowling ball from a chain hanging from somewhere else entirely.
We got seats in the 4th row so we had a great view of everything an the band they had was pretty good with exhalent music though out.
A very appropriate show to see near Halloween and especially if you currently involved in trying to make a gory film.
