Shooting in a convent today
Aug. 1st, 2012 11:07 pmStarted at 8:30am and finished at 9:45pm today.
Problems are beginning to become apparent. We went behind schedule today which meant breaks were sacrificed. This is a bad idea. No food means no energy which means more mistake which mean being further behind. The fact that this isn’t really well scheduled anyway means thing are becoming annoying. Especially when you have actors over 70 around all day.
Shot lists shouldn’t be decided on the day. Story boards, while a pain to do, means you don’t have to spend 20 minutes explaining whet you want to your DOP every time. Call sheets are annoying but it means people don’t have to case you do to find out what there doing the next day.
It’s not that they’re bad people it’s just that they really aren’t as organised as they first appear. They’re barring though on enthusiasm and luck and the fact that they managed to find good actors and an exhalant DOP to support them.
Maybe I’m being harsh but I’m tired.
