No more bottle!

The latex mould is officially a failure. There is simply not enough time for me to finish it. Also I was making two for safety and one of the fell and ripped off half of the latex I had done previously off.

The clay mould wasn’t dry so I made another, thinner one and left it over night.

The recipe for sugar glass uses corn syrup that, because this isn’t America, I couldn’t find so I looked up alternatives. I can use golden syrup and I can substitute cream of tartar with vinegar or lemon juice.

But all that doesn’t matter because, since the wings are more important we need to concentrate on that so the director decided we can skip the bottle and have it “break” off screen with a sound effect and roll into shot.

*Phew*

Now if we could only get the wings done I could relax.
