I got a call at about half one today about a job interview for Tesco. At half three. On a day where the roads were all covered in ice. Great.
The roads did clear up later though, and I got a lift in so it could have been worse.
One thing I do have to say about it though is I just fundamentally resent having to dress up like I’m going to a wedding for a retail job. We get uniforms, what does it matter what I usually wear.
I know, I know, you have to present yourself well in an interview. But it’s so cold it’s a fair bet you’ll be keeping your coat on anyway so it’s waste of time.
Bah!
Also, if the entire interview process is just you asking me questions from a questionnaire and filling in my answers, just give me the paper, I’ll fill it in myself.
And the questions were stupid too. Basically asking how would you be polite to a customer or how would you follow the health and safety rules. Just generally badly worded questions asked if such a way to prevent intelligent sounding answers.
Well, they’ll let me know later on in the week.
